Baltimore Celtic is excited to announce the hiring of Sam Kirschenbaum in the role of Girls Senior Staff Coach. Kirschenbaum is currently the top Assistant Coach for the UMBC Women’s Soccer program, after joining the Retrievers in 2018. Kirschenbaum has coached collegiately at the Division I and III levels, most recently serving as the top Assistant Coach at national power Virginia Wesleyan University. Prior to VWU, Kirschenbaum served in the same role at Marist College in Poughkeepsie, NY.

Kirschenbaum also brings club soccer experience to Celtic, having served 2 years as Head Coach for the U17 Girls Black team at Beach FC (VA). During his time at Beach FC, Kirschenbaum’s U17 team won the 2018 US Youth Soccer Presidents Cup for the state of Virginia. Kirschenbaum has also served as the Director of Coaching for the Hyde Park Soccer Club in New York. As the clubs first ever Director of Coaching, Kirschenbaum organized Fall and Spring clinics, created age-specific curriculum, hired coaching staff, and built the Hyde Park pre-academy program.
